Simple Focaccia

Yesterday was my fourth time making focaccia. There’s something about focaccia because it is always a tray of soft and fluffy bread! The best part, you can do any toppings such as sun-dried tomatoes, olives or even just herbs. I know I always say this but this is seriously easy to make!

Ingredients 🍞
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant yeast (or 1 sachet)
- 2 cups lukewarm water
- Olive oil for greasing the pan and dough
- Flaky salt
- Fresh/dried herbs & any toppings of your choice

Steps🍅
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt and yeast. Add the water and mix until liquid has combined. Lightly knead it to form a stick ball of dough.
2. Rub olive oil on the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
3. Grease baking (I use a large lasagne dish & a smaller dish) and remove the dough. Deflate it and you might want to divide your dough into 2 dishes. Let the dough rest in the dishes for 3 hours.
4. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees C. Rub your fingers with more olive oil and press down on the dough; creating dimples into the dough. Gently stretch the dough to the corners of the dish, if needed and sprinkle flaky salt on top of it. Add desired toppings.
5. Bake the focaccia for 25-28 minutes until it turns golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving!
